After a thorough examination of our customer feedback, we have redesigned part of the website to provide you the easiest, most efficient way of signing up and creating your property listings. Now you can supply even more detailed information that will help you connect to other agents, brokers, buyers and investors.
It is important to agents and brokers as well as buyers to have contact information easily accessible. Now when you join as a new member, pertinent information such as your fax number and realtor designation can be added.
The newly designed listing creation section takes just minutes to complete with more options than before. Detailed property types and subtypes allow for a more specific property search that is essential to helping users look for listings. An automatic vanity URL is created for you when naming your property, which users can save in their favorites.
Thanks to Google Maps, editing your property location is easy. Simply drag the icon over the correct area for the location of your listing and it is automatically updated. Detailed information such as suite/floor/lot and minimum divisible now add more value to your property, and your company logo can be added to further define your listing.
We understand how important it is for our users to have access to the most detailed and correct information possible. We appreciate your patience through all of these updates and welcome any questions or comments you have. Thank you for making RealUp the fastest growing commercial property website.
RealUp has become an Official iPhone App Developer! We are currently working with TouchCentric to create an app that will nicely complement our great website.
The RealUp app will be free of charge, just like many of the other great services that our company provides its users. This mobile app will take advantage of the iPhone interface and functionality to create a unique search experience for our users.
The app is currently in the testing phase, meaning that the basic application is built and we must now make sure that all of the functions work properly. This will ensure that we are delivering the best tool possible for our mobile RealUp users.
Once through the testing phase, we will begin distribution within iTunes so that any iPhone or iPod Touch user can download and start using our mobile app immediately. This just another value that RealUp is adding for our commercial real estate professionals.
Naturally, as with any app, we will constantly be examining our users needs so that we can continue to deliver the functions to make our app number one for commercial real estate. And don't worry Android and Blackberry users, more apps are on the way soon.
So, keep an eye out for our official release date, and in the mean time make sure that you are getting the exposure you need to sell your industrial, multifamily, or other commercial property by listing and advertising with RealUp.com!
Having pictures on your listings makes them so much more interesting. That's why we wanted to make sure you can add as many photos of your property as you like - just make sure you have the rights to the images before you post. Today it gets easy to take for granted the technology behind the application, so here's a little bit about how we are able to allow unlimited photographs on our listings.
RealUp has a lot of experience with digital imagery because our parent company, TerraServer, has been the leader in online imagery for over ten years. To help manipulate the vast library of images, TerraServer, and now RealUp, use an application called csImageFile. The application is DLL (Dynamic Link Library), a shared library concept started by Microsoft.
The application is a product of a company whose name always makes us smile, Chestysoft. The company's name actually comes from the founder, Simon Chester. We also use the csASPUpload product to help with the actual uploading of the images. The csImageFile allows us to take any size image and resize it to fit the listing page. It's something we really could have made on our own, but the Chestysoft line of products has all the features we need at a great price!
We definitely stand by Chestysoft. We use and abuse the csImageFile application and a while back, we found a bug. We notified Mr. Chester and he worked with us to fix the problem and even gave us the new version before anyone else got it. Now that's service!
Thanks to these fine products, you can upload any image in jpg, tif, png, gif, bmp, or psd formats up to 15MB! What are you waiting for? Go create a listing and upload as many photos as you have.
RealUp is always looking for new ways to put your commercial real estate listings "on the map." This time, we mean it literally. We've just finished integrating Google Maps API into RealUp. This will add a mapping feature to individual listings and directory profiles.
The Google Maps API gives developers several ways of embedding Google Maps into web pages. It allows for either simple use or extensive customization. And the best thing of all, it is FREE to use.
Putting Google Maps API on your site can even earn you advertising revenue although we chose not to go that route. If you want to profit from the advertising personally, then all you have to do is get Google AdSense for Search. You will begin receiving advertising revenue for any clicks on sponsored results within your API application.
Our commercial real estate listings each have a customized mapping section. Users will be able to see a satellite or map view of the property with a marker pointing to the actual property location. If a user needs more detail, the map can be enlarged for a much larger view of the area along with driving directions.
Mapping is also integrated into our searching, including searches for property listings, demographics, recent sales data and professional directory. Each type of search will display the results on a map with markers for each search result.
Google Maps APIs are always being improved by Google. They always announce updates and new features on the Google Geo Developers blog. You can take a sneak peek at how the maps will work on the listings on our demo page. Happy mapping!
