New Advanced Search Features:
  • Select All property types with one click

Drum Roll Please…

Thursday, November 19, 2009
Since our beta launch in May, we have received tremendous valuable feedback from RealUp members. Our mission is to listen to what our members are saying so we can continuously update and enhance our site to include all of the tools, services and data that you need.

With that being said, I am proud to announce the long awaited release of the Advanced Property Search!

Our team has been working diligently to create advanced search options that are capable of searching by every factor and detail that YOU our valued members have been asking for. Our new property search is smart; type in search criteria and it remembers your search fields even after your results are shown.

Not only that, but our search uses cookies (not chocolate chip) to remember your last search criteria even after you have navigated away from our site! Now that’s a smart cookie!

Our new advanced search allows you to be as broad or narrow in your search as you would like. From a nationwide property search of all property types to a specific property type, size, price, keyword and zip code, you can do it with the new RealUp property search!

Maybe you want to search by multiple zip codes or multiple cities or even by county – not a problem! Just use comma separated terms, enter as many as you want and instantly see search results listed and pin pointed on an interactive Google Map.

Are the search results not sorted in the way you would like? We have taken care of that too! Simply choose your method of sorting from price, date, size, type and more to customize the results to your preferences.

New Advanced Search Features:

  • Search For Sale, For Lease or Both
  • Select All property types with one click
  • Search only properties with photos and/or price
  • State and county search options
  • Multiple locations - enter multiple counties, cities, zip codes
  • Keywords - View properties based on search terms
  • Search properties by price range or lease range
  • Search properties by building size, lot size, and/or space available
  • Clear all search fields with one click
  • Search fields remember last search criteria
  • Hide advanced search options
  • Sort results by last updated, price, name, location, size

The RealUp advanced search will absolutely save you valuable time and money. No more sifting through hundreds of broad search results – you can use our free nationwide advanced search to quickly find the exact properties that you are looking for!

I cannot say enough good things about our new search – you need to try it out for yourself! Click here to get started on your new search and please let us know what you think. We are always looking for ways to improve and help make RealUp YOUR comprehensive commercial real estate website.

Hint, Hint...

Wednesday, September 23, 2009
Introducing smart text with auto-suggest on RealUp! You've used this feature before even if you don't realize it.

Have you ever began typing a web address into your browser bar and all of the sudden a drop down of similar addresses pops up to help you quickly navigate? Or maybe you have been typing a particular topic into a search engine like Google and a list of similar terms pop up for you to instantly click?

If you answered yes to either of these scenarios then you have experienced the time saving benefits of auto-suggest or auto-complete. This feature eliminates spelling errors, reduces key strokes and give search hints.

As you know, RealUp is all about saving you time and money. That is why we have just incorporated this auto-suggest feature into our website. After some initial research and tracking, our team discovered that users had a tendency to misspell certain cities and search criteria resulting in inaccurate or insufficient data.

By making our text smart, users can now begin typing a city name into our search fields and instantly choose from a drop down menu of similar cities and states. This feature will significantly cut down on time spent typing and retyping as a result of missepellings. Not only that, the suggestions that appear are also ranked by relevancy and frequency with the more common cities near the top of the list.

You may ask yourself, "What more could I ask for?" To answer that, we suggest you keep checking back with us – there are more search improvements coming very soon!

For now, go check out our new feature for yourself and see our auto-suggest in action!

SEO - Search Engine Optimization

Wednesday, July 08, 2009
If you are in to Internet marketing, you are very familiar with SEO, or Search Engine Optimization. It's a very complicated process, but it you do it correctly, it will make your webpage show higher on a search results page. Pages that appear higher on the results typically get more traffic, and every website wants more traffic!

A great way to be placed higher on search results is to have a lot of relevant content. For example, if you do a search on "commercial real estate" then the search engines look for sites that have content relating to commercial real estate. RealUp specializes in all types of commercial property, including multifamily, industrial, office, retail, etc. and as a result our website has tons of great content.

To boost our search rankings further, RealUp has added hyperlinked lists of cities, states and property categories to the website. This not only helps new visitors find out about RealUp, but it also adds valuable content to the website as well.

Another way we are improving our SEO is by having a sitemap. Sitemaps index web pages and make sure none of them get missed by the web crawlers that determine search ranking. Our site map also has an XML version that is easier for search engines to read and index.

These are all small extras that add to our search engine optimization. In the end, this will result in commercial property listings that will be searchable on Google or other search engines which makes it easier for buyers and sellers to connect.
